The pennywhistle and the bodhran are two distictive traditional celtic instruments. The pennywhistle is a recorder like instrument that is famous for its unique and haunting tone. It became especially popular after the Irish dance show, Riverdance, stepped into the limelight. The bodhran has also been extensively used in Irish dance and music shows. For such a small and unimposing instrument, this drum has become the heartbeat of all celtic music.
Daniel Nelson has been composing music since the age of 10. Upon falling in love with Irish tradition, he has mastered the art of authentic Irish music. With his extensive musical background, he has gone on to win numerous awards for both the bodhran and the pennywhistle.
