How I started irish dance: I was not introduced to the major Irish dance shows until my early 20′s. I fell in love with shows like Riverdance and decided it was what I wanted to pursue. I didn’t start till I was 21 (the time most dancers retire). I knew I would start at a disadvantage to those dancers who have been dancing before they could walk, but I started regardless.
Where I’m at now: I have competed at the highest levels of Irish dance and have qualified for World Championships five years in a row. I have also won the Southern Region Championships twice and I am the currently ranked eleventh in North America. I am very passionate about teaching Irish dance to those who love it as much as I do and imparting to them the knowledge and experience I have gained over the past years competing.
